About Ken
My background
I’ve been playing acoustic guitar, bass guitar and singing since a young age, spending my time between the Coventry and London music scenes learning my trade. I moved to London in 2013 to study for a degree in Popular Music Performance, graduating with a 2:1 and majoring in bass guitar and composition.
During my time in London, I played at the Shepherds Bush 02 Academy, Stamford Bridge, The famous Half Moon in Putney, the Electric Ballroom and the Camden Assembly, among others.
In 2019 through to 2023, I worked for Tui and then Royal Caribbean on luxury cruise ships sailing around Europe initially and then the Caribbean and Miami, Florida, playing at parties, discos, weddings and even in the theatre!
In 2024 I moved to Ireland (where my maternal ancestry lies), since when I’ve enjoyed playing countrywide including Temple Bar in Dublin and the world famous Quays Music Hall in Galway City as well as venues and parties all over Ireland. Since September 2024 I’ve been based in Galway County, where I live with my wife.
I have performed at over 1000 events globally and have a large repertoire of music from many years of performing different genres - specialising mostly in covering rock, pop and folk songs. As well as a general show, I also cover '80s and '90s themed events as well as an Oasis acoustic-themed show.
