A few pictures of life on the road

Hi all, I always try and get a few snapshots of the venues and events that I play at and quite often don't really know what to do with them, so I've decided to put a few up here to show what life looks like on the road. It can be tough - but a nice pint of cold Guinness and a good plate of food almost always eases the pain!

I know South Galway fairly well, but it still blows my mind how beautiful it is at the Atlantic's Southernmost push into the county at Kinvarra. I stopped to take this on the way to a gig at Conole's during boating week.

Nice and early to work (haw haw), it's time to relax with my usual pint and check my set list. A lovely little pub by the sea was Conole's.

Easily the best lemonade i've ever had. On the house at the very kind team at Barberstown Castle before a wedding reception. You always feel a little bit more relaxed before the performance when you're looked after like this!

More pre-show food in The Bunker Bar, Ballybunion in Co. Kerry. Definitley gave me the energy for my set and the DJ set I did afterwards too!

I finally bought a professional looking bag for all my extensive equipment. It sure beats the bag for life i've been putting stuff in all year 😂

Setting up at The Village Douglas Hotel in Cork before the staff party for the Maryborough Hotel. It was hard work squeezing into this corner but i'm a pro at equipment feng shui these days! It was a wild night and the staff really let loose. I wish my camera had recorded when I pressed play - ah well you'll just have to take my word for it!

The weather was on and off at Danville House in Kilkenny for George and David's wedding ceremony but with tea and scones on offer before kicking off, nothing was going to put me off having the best time!

I love a pint of Smithwicks before my gigs at the fabulous family-run Simon's Bar in Banagher. And i'll usually need it as parking on the high street is a nightmare 😂.

It doesn't get much harder than trying to get a ton of equipment to Fleet Street in the car, but boy was it worth it! The staff at The Medley bar were first class and really knew how to throw a wedding party!

I almost always stop by Lough Corrib to stretch my legs on my way to Clifden or Claddaghduff. What a view!
