A weekend of gigs in Galway City

This weekend a couple of late additions to the calendar meant two nights in a row at the Hole-in-The-Wall bar in town and Sunday evening at the street-level bar at The Quays - which was actually my first time playing in the downstairs bar. Nice and warm inside The Quays. Definitely looks like I'm singing N17 in picture two!

The Quays is a lovely pub with lots of charm - but do get a table before 7 as after that, people really pile in!

It was quite a different experience to playing upstairs with the bands in the music hall - (not least there being no sound engineer here so one of the bar staff had to help me get the mixing desk working! So much for a smooth start!)

I was just playing it by ear once I got going ten minutes late, with Caledonia and The Green Fields of France - but once it started to get packed, the requests came in and it turned into a bit of a dance party!
