Christmas and New Year 2026

It's been a little while since I checked in about life on the road. Christmas time is always a busy time for musicians as we scramble to cash in on the abundance of gigs around this time before things go quiet for the rest of the winter.
10 gigs in 14 days just before and after Christmas time included trips to the Midlands, Galway city and around Connemara. As fate would have it, a few days before Christmas I got a throat infection which lasted all through the Christmas gigs and just as i'd finished the final gig of the season in The Quays on Jan 4th I caught the flu. Thankfully the next gig was a few weeks away so I was able to recover in time but it always some time for my singing voice to catch up after getting sick.
The highlight was a lovely evening gig at Sweeney's in Connemara on New Year's Day, my first time there and found it to be a warm and charming little pub on the West coast!
The lowlight was my New Year's Eve booking where along with the venue we'd planned a full music and light show only to be playing to pretty much just myself by the time midnight came around 😂. My second quiet NYE in a row here, think i'll take NYE 2026 off!
As we move in 2026, i'll be focusing more on weddings and private parties. If you're looking to book entertainment for your party do get in touch, or if you're a pub looking to book entertainment for the evening please enquire about my availability on my contact page.
Here's a couple of photos from the gigs.
